The Philosophy

There’s a gap between “what is” and “what should be.” Photojournalistic and Documentarian work stays true to “what is.”

Intuition, body language, direction, and restraint are required throughout a wedding day. Keeping this balance is intricate because couples, their families and guests all have high expectations for their appearance. Yet, they don’t want to chase the image. They want the image to come to them. Therefore, the photographer’s proactivity is a must. We must either predict (project), react (respond), or create (compose) images by leveraging the real environments and personalities around us.

Deeply human captures are simply impossible without a photographer who is socially wired for them.

Photos that ‘hit hard’ are often inexplicable; momentary and irreproducible. This goes beyond the regular, ceremonious moments of walking down the aisle – and into the deeply human expressions portrayed in your once-in-a-lifetime photos.
